About Us

The Insan Center for Media Studies began its work in early 2015 with a small group of Egyptian media experts. The center has expanded to include partnerships and relationships with Arab and international research centers, media professionals, and politicians across the world.

The Center focuses on studying trends in Egyptian, Arab, and international media regarding issues of freedoms, democracy, and human rights, particularly in the Arab region, and the transformations that have occurred following the Arab Spring uprisings and their subsequent repercussions and counter-revolutions.

The Center also pays close attention to studying and monitoring pressing regional and international issues that directly impact events in the region, and the related challenges facing reformist Islamic movements, often referred to in the media as “political Islam movements.”

The Center organizes events including media forums and specialized seminars. Its experts also contribute to professional training courses in the field of media, in cooperation with specialized institutes and universities.

The center owns media platforms, including the “Insan Center for Media Studies” website, accounts of the same name on Facebook and Twitter, and a Telegram channel called “Insan Center for Media Channel.” Through these platforms, it offers a variety of products, including studies, research, analyses, articles, translated materials, and monitoring of media trends in addressing specific issues within the center’s area of interest.
